Members of our club and the Great Oak High School Members of our club and the Great Oak High School Interact Club enjoyed a weekend at Personal Rotary Youth Development Experience camp (PRYDE). PRYDE is Rotary District 5330’s leadership retreat for 7th grade students. While at camp we taught the students leadership skills through facilitated discussions, presentations, and team building activities. We also participated in a service project with Humanitarian Aid for Development and Relief (HAFDRA) where we worked with the campers to assemble dental kits more for children in underserved families in our community. Members of our club served on the camp staff while others contributed as volunteer group “Elders”. We proudly sponsored sending 5 students to camp this year. #ServiceAboveSelf #UniteForGood

Sale Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit that offers rescue and refuge to farm animals that have been abused, neglected, or discarded. We enjoyed spending the morning helping tidy up the animals’ spaces and getting to meet the sweet residents! #uniteforgood #peopleofaction #serviceaboveself

Next, on November 2, we are volunteering with our @gohs.interact at the Temecula Half-Marathon. From November 8 - 15, we will be busy with @murrietarotary putting forth the 17th Annual @murrietafieldofhonor . There are various events scheduled at the Field throughout the week, so be sure to come on by Town Square Park! We will close out the month with a club meeting on November 12 and a Board meeting on November 19. We will be DARK on November 26 in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. At each club meeting in Old Town Temecula, we circulate a polio piggy bank to raise money to fight this disease and eradicate it worldwide once and for all. This weekend, members of our club joined Great Oak This weekend, members of our club joined Great Oak Interactors for a Habitat for Humanity - Inland Valley service project. Today we joined @alzassociation Walk to End Alzhei Today we joined @alzassociation Walk to End Alzheimer’s® – Temecula Valley along with friends from the Rotary Club of French Valley, @temecularotary and @gohs.interact . Together our team raised over $2,600 for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. It was a heartfelt experience as we honored our loved ones who have suffered from Alzheimer’s, and supported the vision for a future without the disease.
