Join Rotary! A global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and leaders who volunteer their skills and resources to address community needs.

The last project during our international service The last project during our international service trip in Costa Rica engaged the @rotaryinternational Area of Focus “Maternal and Child Health”. With the generous support of Optometrist Dr. Sing and coordination with @rotary.garabito and @frenchvalleyrotary , over 50 children in the Garabito municipality received eye exams and will receive follow up vision care.

While Dr. Sing was hard at work with the eye exams, our club set out our contribution of clothing donations for the women and children and helped local community partners facilitate the entertainment (bouncy house, DJ, and face painting!) provided to make the queue more engaging for the children.

Afterwards, Dr. Sing treated all of the children to lunch and a movie, during which we happily served popcorn, hot dogs, and snacks.

A very special “thank you” to Rotarian Manuela for coordinating this project, and for the Rotary Clubs of Garabito and French Valley for their collaborations!
💙 Today our international service trip to Costa Ri 💙 Today our international service trip to Costa Rica is centered on the @rotaryinternational Area of Focus “Protecting the Environment”. The Rotary Clubs of Old Town Temecula and @frenchvalleyrotary joined together with the @rotary.garabito for the Garabito Municipality’s reforestation campaign at Playa Herradura.

💛 Together we planted 60 trees which will play a valuable role in the balance of the local ecosystem, acting as a natural barrier against erosion, protecting local biodiversity, and improving the quality of water resources. These trees will also provide shade for local community enjoyment and will promote environmental sustainability.

💙 The trees we planted are a favorite amongst scarlet macaws and monkeys, and a few of us were lucky to spot some monkeys hanging around afterwards! 🦜 🐒

💛 Thank you to @rotarydistrict5330 Immediate Past District Governor Nyron McLean for sponsoring our team shirts!
What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 R What an incredible way to kick off the 2026–2027 Rotary year under the leadership of President Brian Spock!

Despite nearly one-third of our club being in Costa Rica on an international service project, the energy in the room was undeniable.

One of the most meaningfull moments of the night was welcoming Cindy Mason as our first new member of the Rotary year! Cindy's late husband, Mike Mason, was a cornerstone of our club whose legacy of service helped shape who we are today. It is both a privilege and an honor to welcome Cindy as she continues that legacy alongside us as we work together toward this years Rotary theme: Create Lasting Impact.

We also got to work reviewing our 2026–2027 financials, mapping out an exciting year of service projects and events, and launching our plans for ChildSpree 2026, an incredible program that helps local children head back to school with confidence and dignity.

If last night's meeting was any indication, this Rotary year is going to be something special. Here's to new friendships, meaningful service, and another year of changing lives....one project at a time.

We look forward to supporting President Brian in his new position and look forward to creating a lasting impact under his leadership.
