Today we participated in the Rotary District 5330 Today we participated in the Rotary District 5330 Interact Training Assembly and enjoyed a day full of workshops geared toward improving our ability to support and guide our Interact clubs. Per Rotary International, Interact Clubs must organize at least two projects every year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary clubs mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop their leadership skills. Our club planted three new trees and painted the fence at @cityoftemecula ‘s Voorburg Park. We then enjoyed the park and beautiful spring day with a picnic. Last night our meeting focused on recapping the @r Last night our meeting focused on recapping the @ryla5330 experiences of the 20+ students our club sent to the March and April 2024 camps, as well as that of our members who volunteered at both camps. We were also lucky to be joined by the majority of camp alumni and members of both @gohs_interact and @tsc_interact who participated in #RYLA5330 . We heard so many stories of RYLArians who were hesitant to attend camp and ended up having the experience of a lifetime, making new friends, gaining confidence, and learning how to become better leaders in their communities. We are so proud of each and every one of the RYLArians and thank you for sharing your experiences with us! #BeYourOwnCharacter #ServiceAboveSelf

Our club was well-represented tonight at the @tem Our club was well-represented tonight at the @temeculachamber 58th Annual Awards Gala! We were honored to have been nominated in the Ruby Charitable/Service Organization of the Year category and extend our sincere congratulations to tonight’s winner, @wavesprojectinc ! Tonight we also celebrated the nomination of member Tony Berardino for Citizen of the Year, and cheered for member and @cityoftemecula Mayor Stew as he took the stage. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners - we are grateful to be a part of this wonderful community!

This weekend members of our club redecorated a dor This weekend members of our club redecorated a dorm room at @oakgrovecenter with the goal to deliver a relaxing, nature and zen-inspired space for two deserving students. With a fresh coat of paint, new décor, and some new furniture, the room was transformed! Thank you to Above & Beyond Painting and @heidibowser.realtor for your help in repainting the room. Our club had a wonderful time participating in the Our club had a wonderful time participating in the Mexicali weekend trip organized by @palmdesertrotary with other clubs in @rotarydistrict5330 and @rotarydistrito4100 . We drove two carloads worth of donations of clothing, blankets, and toys down to Mexicali to distribute to children in need, and helped paint classrooms (and fix a swing set!) at CAM Eduardo Huet School for the Deaf. We lit a torch for each of the 13 years our club has been in service, with a special tribute paid to the Past Presidents of each Rotary year. We reflected on the service projects we’ve completed throughout our club history and celebrated the goodwill and friendships we’ve made along the way. True to club tradition, we went camping and enjoyed a weekend of games, laughter, and the great outdoors. We celebrated a great Rotary year and recognized some Rotarians that went above and beyond: ⭐️ Our club’s first President and Charter Member Adam Ruiz was honored for his years of service with a gold gavel plaque. ⭐️ Charter Member and this year’s Community Services Chair Jennifer Rasmussen was awarded Rotarian of the Year. ⭐️ Immediate Past President and this year’s club Secretary Carissa Gerry was awarded Service Above Self. ⭐️ President Jay was gifted a plaque to hang his gavel on, engraved with all our club members’ signatures.
